Tool Author: I have no idea
Due to the nature of this game, some mods give a weird blur when you replace a model. This guide will show you how to fix that.
I know for certain this guide will work if your game is from Steam. If it isn't, then I don't know. The game is cheap, buy it.
(Ignore Step 1 and 2 if you already changed your EXE to use some trainer, such as Super Trainer v9 or DDMK
Step 1. Since the game recently had a VERY UNNECESSARY update that broke compatibility with most tools that existed for years, download this >>>OLD EXECUTABLE<<<
Step 2. Go to your game directory and rename the game's executable to DevilMayCry4SpecialEdition.exe.2023 or something. Then add the one you just downloaded there. Do the same with the steamapi.dll
Step 3. Download >>>THIS TOOL<<< I doubt this will be accused as a virus by your browser/windows. But it is an application that modifies values, so it's possible it happens. If it does, then pause your antivirus cuz it is a FALSE POSITIVE.
Step 4. Extract this application and put it in the game folder.
Step 5. Run it and click Close Blur.
A message should indicate the patch was applied.
Additionally you can also hit Unlock HotKey, which will give you the ability to close the game with Alt+F4. For some dumb reason, the devs decided you can't do that in your game by default.
If you want to restore the Blur/Not being able to close with Alt+F4, just open the application again and click Restore Blur and Restore Hotkey, or just replace the .exe in your folder with the one you downloaded in Step. 1.
