This page focus in explaining to you, what you need in order to install mods through ModManager in the Sourcenext version of Devil May Cry 3.
PS: if you already followed the guide I did for DMC 1, 2 and 3 HD Collection or DmC: Devil May Cry, you only need to follow Steps 1, 6 and 7, because I pre-made these settings to apply for all PC Devil May Cry games.
Step 1. Install the mod StyleSwitcher from THIS LINK
It's necessary because this mod creates a custom path for easier mod installations, which will be compatible with this method.
Step 2. Download ModManager from THIS LINK
Step 3. Extract ModManager to any folder you like it, but don't open the software yet.
Step 4. Download this CUSTOM SETTINGS FILE
Don't mind the name of the file. Like previouslly stated, I made these settings to suit all PC Devil May Cry games.
Step 5. Extract its files inside ModManager folder, like this:
Step 6. Open ModManager.exe and select Devil May Cry 3 - OG (Sourcenext Port)
I made it so the software should find your game automatically, as long as it's from Steam. In case it does not, you will need to manually select the path of dmc3se.exe.
Step 7. Go to RELEASED MODS, download the mod(s) of your preference, extract them in modmanager\Games\DMC 3 OG, then open ModManager again (in case you closed it), or hit Refresh Mod List, and install the ones you want it.
